Elton John to have street named after him
Washington, Dec 24: Officials in Sir Elton John''s hometown are so impressed with his concerts in Las Vegas that they want to name a road after him.
Earlier this year, the `Candle In The Wind' hitmaker did a series of high-profile shows in the gambling city.
The gigs impressed some staff on Harrow council in north London and thus they decided to honour their local hero with his own street.
"I saw Sir Elton in Las Vegas earlier this year and thought he was wonderful. He came from humble beginnings and it shows that if you have talent and drive you can become as famous as him," Contactmusic quoted Susan Hill, the council''s deputy leader, as saying.
The voting for the proposal will take place next year (09). (ANI)
