Elimination of menstrual pain now a possibilityA drug named VAIII913 is being tested for relieving the patient off the menstrual agony.

The drug which comes in form of pill will eliminate the pains experienced during menstrual phase. It works by suppressing the hormone called vasopressin which is responsible for contraction of the uterus during menstruation and thus gives a cramping sensation in muscles.

Dysmenorrhea - a term generally referred when a woman bears excessive pain due to menstrual discharge or whilst the menstrual cycle. It is known to differ in every woman and may lead to hinder the normal activities sometimes.

Andrzej R. Batt, a member of the research team states, "Dysmenorrhea not only diminishes the quality of life for millions of women, but also has a hidden, society-wide economic cost that involves an enormous number of days lost from work and school."

However if the pill able to gain success in initial stages, it will surely be a boost for all women as it provides an ease to lead a normal life.
