Eleven killed as houses collapse during heavy rains in Morocco
Rabat, Morocco - Eleven people were killed overnight as several houses collapsed during heavy rains in the village of Driouch in north-eastern Morocco, the Interior Ministry said Friday.
One person was reported injured. The rains also caused heavy material damage in the region, with houses collapsing and others inundated with rainwater.
The rains peaked at 2,400 cubic metres per second. The authorities were organizing for help to reach those affected. (dpa)
