Islamabad, July 28 : Pakistan’s nuclear scientist Dr AQ Khan’s wife has reportedly filed a contempt of court petition before the Islamabad High Court, claiming that despite the court order her husband continued to remain under house arrest.

The petition has named 11 personalities as respondents, including President Pervez Musharraf, Information Minister Sherry Rahman, Interior Secretary Kamal Shah, Attorney Gen Malik Qayyum, and others

In her plea, the petitioner maintained that even as the nuclear scientist’s detention continues, the High Court’s decision of setting him free not being implemented.

The decision on this petition filed in the Registrar Office of the High Court will be made later on as to its maintainability or otherwise. (ANI)
