Domino's to increase prices by 2-3% next month
Renowned fast food chain Domino's Pizza's operator Jubilant FoodWorks has announced its plans to increase the prices of its products in November.
Chief Executive Ajay Kaul said that the company would increase its product prices by 2-3 per cent next month in order to beat inflationary pressure.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of India Retail Forum, Kaul said, "Our next price hike will be in November and it will be a 2-3 per cent increase."
This is going to the second price increase in Domino's Pizza prices. Last time it hiked the prices of its products in June.
Kaul admitted that the company has not seen the same growth rate that it enjoyed last year, but added that it is not alarming. He also announced that the company would launch a new variety of pizza to attract more customers in the festive season. But, he didn't share the details about the new pizza.
Jubilant Foodworks Limited has informed the Exchange regarding a press release dated October 11, 2012, titled "From delivering happiness to strengthening relationships Domino''s Pizza India unveils new brand positioning "Yeh Hai Rishton ka time".
In addition, Domino's Pizza India has launched its new brand positioning campaign called "Yeh Hai Rishton ka time". The new campaign aims to deepen the company's relationships and bonding with customers.
Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd shares jumped 0.76 per cent to close yesterday's trading at Rs. 1352.30.
