Discovery has announced the launch of a Hindi Language feed for its scientific channel, Discovery Science from October 1.

The channel will also offer Hindi subtitles for all the shows on Discovery Turbo. Both Discovery Science and Discovery Turbo of the Discovery Network will get the Hindi language add on from October 1. The new service will be rolled out for all cable and DTH platforms in the country.

The channel is looking to further penetrate the Hindi language market in India as it believes that the language is a substantial part of its business strategy for the country. The flagship Discovery Channel already offers feeds in English, Telugu, Bengali and Hindi. The company also broadcast a separate channel, Discovery Tamil for Tamil speaking viewers.

Other channels of the network including lifestyle channel TLC and wildlife channel Animal Planet also offer service in Hindi and English languages. The recently launched, Discovery Kids is also available in three feeds - English, Hindi and Tamil.
