He has started a campaign to popularize the natural way of controlling the incurable disease (diabetes).
Mr. Bhat said that Insulin-A (Costus Ignaus) plant, which has its origins in South Africa, has proved to be the best remedy to control diabetes as it is safe, free of side affects and meliorates body’s resistance against diseases.
He also said that a diabetic can fend off ill affects of diabetes and lead a normal life by eating just one or two leaves of this plant every day.
However, the number of leaves to be taken can be decided after checking the blood sugar levels of the patient.
The leaves can also be used in the form of a powder, but consumption of green leaves is the better option, he said.
While addressing the media persons, Mr. Bhat said that he has been popularising this natural method of keeping diabetes under control, due to which more than 2,000 people have already been benefited.
He explained, “People having more than F/S 200 sugar-level, should consume two leaves a day, while those with less than F/S 200, may consume one leaf. Consumption of the powder of the leaves has also been proved successful.”
Mr. Bhat also said that people can grow the plant Insulin-A in their house premises in natural conditions. The plant is very easy to grow as it does not require too much care.
