Dhoni’s captaincy in arena of question marks

Dhoni’s captaincy in arena of question marksAs Indian team crashed out of the ICC T20 World Cup, discussion has started on what went wrong during the matches which caused early exit of India from ICC T20 World Cup.

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy has raised a lot of questions in mind of Indian cricket fans. The foremost question which arises is that why Dhoni opted to bowl first in the match against England.

Secondly, promoting inexperienced Ravindra Jadeja up in the batting order was a poor decision by Dhoni as Jadeja scored 25 runs from 35 balls and increased the required run rate for rest of the overs of the inning.

Harbhajan bowled last over of the inning who gave 10 runs in his over including 5 extra runs on a wide on leg-side and these runs proved costly to India as they lost the match by 3 runs.

Apart of these, Dhoni finished four overs of wicket less Ishant Sharma while Zaheer Khan who took one wicket was not given to bowl his fourth over in the match.

Along with Dhoni's captaincy, batting of Dhoni was also unimpressive as he was unable to hit boundaries when these were required during the match against England.
