DHL Introduces India-Dubai Service
Leading logistics company DHL has introduced India-Dubai Service by launching its weekly direct LCL (Less than Container Load) consol service for connecting Nhava Sheva to Dubai.
The move is aimed for further strengthening and expanding supply-chain on the India-Middle East trade lane besides pushing its ocean freight business supported by a broad product portfolio.
The services would be provided through DHL's local arm DHL Lemuir Logistics, a joint venture between DHL Global Forwarding and Mumbai-based Lemuir Group established in 2003.
DHL further explained, "With the launch of this service, DHL Global Forwarding will also enable seamless flow of ocean freight cargo through Dubai to other GCC countries, such as Muscat, Kuwait and Oman."
The firm, present in almost all leading cities of the world, has also signed a strategic air cargo security partnership deal with Bangalore based Air India-SATS which is a joint venture company between National Aviation Company of India and currently known as Air India and Singapore Airport Terminal Services. The partnership is aimed to co-operate in deterring crime trends in the air cargo transport sector.
