There have been widespread reactions in the film industry over Deepika's saree clad look in Ashutosh Gowariker's period flick 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey'.

People noticed the fresh look of the actress who till just a few weeks back was seen in a swimming suit for Sajid Khan's 'Housefull'.

However, just as the producers of 'Housefull' and 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' show different sensitivities, so is being reflected in the subject in addition to character presentation.

With Deepika introducing a new face of her 'revolutionary' image for Gowariker's upcoming movie, a solo shot has managed to grab some public attention to 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' which will hit theatres on 3rd December.

From Mauritius where the actress is presently stationed for a rather long shoot of 'Break Ke Baad', Miss Padukone said, "I know. This still was released to give a glimpse of what is in the offing from the film. However, the reactions which have started coming in are overwhelming. I wasn't aware that it would actually go on to make so much news. I am glad because this reiterates the fact that people have been curious to know about the look of the film and the characters."

It seems that the audiences are desperate to see Deepika in a new avatar. After all very recently, she did create a stir of sorts by walking the red carpert at Cannes in a saree.

"Well, both are different kind of sarees actually", she said, "In Cannes it was an event-wear while in Ashu's film, there are lot of cotton sarees that I am wearing. Since it is a period film, the presentation is totally different. The film has a Bengali milieu to it and I had to make sure that I carry the look well."

'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' also stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. (With Inputs from Agencies)
