DB Corp to come up with new editions

DB-CorpPrint media company, DB Corporation has declared that it will come up with new editions. This extension would be done under the flagship brand name of Dainik Bhaskar.

DB Corporation has popular newspapers like the Divya Bhaskar, Business Bhaskar, Saurashtra Samachar and DB Star in its portfolio. It currently owns 7 main newspapers, 48 edition newspapers and 128 sub-editions.

The newspapers are available in only three languages- Hindi, Gujarati and English.

The new editions will be regional in nature and would cover the areas which have high population and very less number of regional language mass media vehicles.

The new editions will be under the brand name of Dainik Bhaskar and will come up in Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand and Bihar.

But since the print media works on thin profit margins, the new editions may have an impact on it. Talking about this to a private media house, Girish Agarwaal, Director, DB Corp said that the company has 34 per cent EBITDA margins. Besides, it expects to get 29-30 per cent margins from these markets which are fine for few years.
