Danny Boyle has no plans to direct the next Bond flick
Washington, March 4: ‘Slumdog Millionair’ director Danny Boyle is said to have no plans to direct the next James Bond flick, despite the fact that he is a huge fan of the 007 franchise.
The British filmmaker was reportedly offered to direct the upcoming sequel to Danniel Craig-starrer ‘Quantum of Solace’, after his most recent flick ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ became an Oscar sensation.
"He has been offered the chance to direct the 23rd Bond film by (Bond producer) Barbara (Broccoli). Everyone on the Eon team thinks Danny would be the perfect addition to the Bond family," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling British tabloid The Sun.
A spokeswoman for Boyle has admitted that the filmmaker is happy to have been offered a chance to get associated with the Bond series.
She, however, added that Boyle did not have any plans to helm the next bond flick.
"While Danny says he always has and always will enjoy the Bond movies he has no plans to direct one. Danny is naturally flattered to be thought of!" she said. (ANI)
