Cummins India Q4 net profit at Rs 118 crore
Cummins India Ltd has revealed that its net profit after tax has surged to Rs 118 crore for the quarter ended on March 31, 2009 from Rs 75 crore in the year ago quarter.
Company’s total income during the period under review has witnessed upward trend to Rs 1072 crore from Rs 716 crore in the same period lat year.
For the financial year ended on 31st March 2009, the company has recorded a net profit after tax of Rs 433 crore versus a net profit after tax of Rs 280 crore in the prior year.
During the same financial year, company’s total income increased to Rs 3424 crore from Rs 2453 crore in the previous fiscal.
Company’s consolidated net profit after tax for the year ended March 31, 2009 surged to Rs 445 crore from Rs 324 crore in the previous year. Total Income of the group in the same year also rose to Rs 3650 crore as compared to Rs 2786 crore in the year ago.
The company engages in manufacturing and selling of internal combustion engines, diesel and gas generating sets and special purpose machines.
Stock price of Cummins India settled in green at Rs 262, up 3.95% on National Stock Exchange (NSE). Total volume of shares traded on NSE was 1,004,038.
