CSKA Moscow enjoy deserved victory against Besiktas Hamburg  - Goals in each half from Alan Dzagoev and Milos Kraskic helped CSKA Moscow to a 2-1 victory over Turkish side Besiktas in the Champions League Wednesday to maintain the Russian side's hopes of progressing from Group B.

Russian international Dzagoev opened the scoring after just seven minutes at the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow with a superb strike from 25 metres that gave Besiktas goalkeeper Rustu Recber no chance.

Krasic ensured all three points for the home side just after the hour mark, slotting the ball under Recber following a mazy run into the Besiktas area.

Ibrahim Kas nearly pulled one back for Besiktas in the last minute of regulation time but Igor Akinfeev saved well and although Ekrem Dag did manage to pull one back in injury time it was too little too late for the visitors.

The win sees CSKA move onto three points from two games, level with VfL Wolfsburg and last year's beaten finalists Manchester United, who meet later Wednesday at Old Trafford.

Besiktas sit bottom without a point and now have a mountain to climb if they are to claim one of the group's two qualifying places.  dpa
