Court dates out for iiNet appealThe iiNet judgment for the Australian Federation against Copyright Theft (AFACT) has been out. It is going to be heard on 2-5 August. Justice Emmett has announced that the hearing will be in the month of August but sittings with exact date for hearing is yet to come.

The federal court judge Dennis Cowdroy had taken the decision in favor of the iiNet.

He had earlier said that the Internet Service Provider (ISP) was not authorized for illegal downloading of AFACT member's content by its users.

The judgment was responded by the AFACT by filing out the nine page appeal.

The lawyers have said that decision is going to be a serious threat to the Australia's digital economy. There should be a proper judgment as per the Australian copyright law.
