A case has been registered at Bhangagarh police station by a couple for their missing baby.

A baby boy was born on Thursday at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, who was purportedly taken away by a woman. This woman claimed to be a medical attendant of the hospital and told child’s mother that she is taking the child to the baby room.

Next day when parents had asked the authorities for their new born baby, only then they realized that baby was missing.

GMCH has ordered for an inquiry in to a case of missing baby. GMCH authorities told that it was a normal delivery and baby was handed over to his parent’s on Thursday evening and there is no such woman working in our hospital as described by the couple.

GMCH superintendent Ramen Talukdar said that they have ordered an investigation in to the whole affair.
