Connectivity won't be compromised-Says Pilot
Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology Mr. Sachin Pilot has said that despite naxalite attacks the government will continue its communication programs at the naxal affected areas. Mr. Pilot is in his visit to the Maharashtra and he has reviewed BSNL's Western Maharashtra operations as well.
He has said to the media over there that the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will keep on doing it best to provide connectivity to the inter areas of the country. It will continue its efforts to maintain the connectivity in the naxal areas despite of naxal threats.
He has added that the Naxalites are targeting mobile towers of BSNL in most of the parts of Jharkhand and Bihar. So BSNL is taking steps to deploy itself in infrastructure in these affected areas. He has also said that the BSNL is focusing on its connectivity programs and the connectivity will never be compromised at any cost.
The communication minister has said that the government is also thinking of the satellite phones at the naxal affected areas.
