Chowrasta: Movie Review!

Chowrasta: Movie Review! The film named, ‘Chowrasta’ is really interesting, and it's just like a good book you read on a lazy afternoon, one you don’t want to close it until you get to the final page.

Directed by Anjan Dutta, the star cast of the film includes Victor Banerjee, Rupa Ganguly, Shashwata Banerjee, Naved Aslam, and Aparajita.

The build-up of the assortment of characters is subtle and their story interestingly narrated.

The movie flawlessly interlaces four appealing stories. Veteran actress Nandana (Roopa Ganguly) is a languishing Bollywood actress, who is learning to manage the life troubles.

A newly married couple, Rita (Aparajita) and Sunny (Naved Aslam) have eloped wedded but on their honeymoon trip in Darjeeling they comprehend that they shouldn’t have married finally.

A middle-aged gentleman, Jimmy (Victor) is a plantation owner in Darjeeling, who is lamenting the loss of his wife.

The fourth tale is of Kenny (Atul Kulkarni), an activist, who is escaping from police force and he understands that the reason he was fighting for has no significance.

The movie is filmed in Darjeeling and all the roles look to be in quest of something. Throughout the movie, the viewers are introduced to what takes place when the lanes of these roles cross and what they finish up achieving.

Like his previous films ‘Bong Connection’ and ‘Bow Barracks Forever’, Dutta once again has done a great job.

But what make the film interesting are personations, of particularly those of Victor Bannerjee, Roopa Ganguly and Atul Kulkarni.

Darjeeling’s beauty has been caught with flamboyance by cinematographer Indraneel Mukherjee. The background music deserves special mention too.

With just 90 minutes running time, this short movie keeps the interest of the viewers active.

So don’t miss the chance, go for it. You won't be disappointed.
