Castrol India posts a 54% boost in the net profits

Castrol-India-LogoFollowing the calendar year, Castrol India has recently announced their results for the first quarter of 2010. The company has reported a rise of 54% in its net profits for the January-March 2010 period. Standing at Rs. 117.2 crores, the company's net profit has given the much-desired start for the new fiscal.

Moreover, the profit before tax increased by a whopping 55% standing at the Rs. 181.8 crore level, while on the other end, Net Sales filed an increase of over 29% standing tall at the Rs. 654 crore level. Naveen Kshatriya - Vice Chairman, Castrol India Limited explained the fact that the company has been able to take the growth momentum forward by registering a 55% increase in both profit before and after tax levels.

Its integrated marketing campaign built around Castrol's global FIFA World Cup 2010 sponsorship has also led towards building the Castrol brand in the Indian market.

The company's increase in the bottom lines is mainly attributed towards both higher volumes and increase in unit gross margin. The cost-effective measures also helped the global giant to keep its flag flying up in the sky.
