'Casting Couch' Had Tried to Victimize Lisa Rinna
After Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, it is now Lisa Rinna’s spill the beans on the ‘casting couch’, which it appears is an integral part
in Hollywood cinema. In a recent interview to the media, Lisa Rinna reveals that she was offered a lucratve role in a well known series on American television, but lost it at the lost moment when she refused to have a “quickie” with the director. Like Gwyneth Paltrow, Lisa Rinna was young at that time, only 24 and she is glad that she was able to take such a crucial decision at that point of time in her career.
Lisa Rinna however refuses to name the director but confirms that her first meeting was definitely not the last meeting with the man. She came across the director at a red carpet event later on in her career, and also warned him to keep his hands off any other girl, else she will reveal all that she knows about him! The recent revelations, first by Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow and then by Lisa Rinna have made it clear that the ‘casting couch’ is inherent in the entertainment industry and actresses, especially when they are starting out, are liable to be highly affected.
While Gwyneth Paltrow had said that the incident had left her shocked, Lisa Rinna says that she left the director’s room (and her role in the TV series) crying. But not everybody, feels the actresses, has the courage to refuse and ruin their careers.
