In-Car GPS Based Navigation Device Launched By MapmyIndia

MapmyIndia, a leading navigable map data supplier, has launched a Global Positioning System (GPS) based in-car navigation device, named as “MapmyIndia Navigator.”

MapmyIndia Navigator makes use of orbiters to decide a user’s location anywhere within the country. It directs users, turn by turn, along with visual map directions supported by voice prompts.

While driving, the device can either be mounted on the windscreen or dashboard, or carried in hand while sitting in the backseat of the car.

Rakesh Verma, managing director of CE Info Systems (promoters of MapmyIndia) said, “With GPS technology, and accurate MapmyIndia maps telling you exactly where to take your next turn, unnamed roads or unclear road signs are no longer an issue.”

Presently, "MapmyIndia Navigator" is available in two hardware models including Delphi Nav 200 and AMAX 06GP5A. The devices have integrated GPS, a 3.5-inches color touch-screen, Samsung 400 MHz processor, and additional multimedia features to play movies, music, photos, and games.

"MapmyIndia Navigator" positions wide-ranging and perfect Indian maps that are provided by CE Info Systems. These maps offer full-fledge coverage of streets, localities, sub-localities, and points of interest in 18 major cities of the country that includes New Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune (including Pimpri and Chinchwad), Kolkata (including Bidhan Nagar), Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai.
