Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has informed that it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to sell its anti-convulsant drug primidone tablets in the strength of 50 mg and 250mg in the market. 

Primidone, used alone or concomitantly with other anticonvulsants, is indicated in the control of grand mal, psychomotor, and focal epileptic seizures. It may control grand mal seizures refractory to other anticonvulsant therapy.

The report stated that company is allowed to sell the drug in the United States in tablet forms of 50 milligram and 250 milligram strengths.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's top software services exporter, has reached an agreement with US-based Citigroup to acquire all of the latter's interest in Citigroup Global Services Ltd. (CGSL) for US$ 505 million.

New Delhi - Indian information technology major Tata Consultancy Services (TSC) announced Wednesday it would acquire Citigroup's India-based outsourcing arm in an all-cash deal estimated at 505 million dollars.

TCS signed an agreement with Citigroup Inc to acquire its entire interest in India-based Citigroup Global Services Limited (CGSL), the company said in a press release.

Tokyo - Shares of Toyota Motor Corporation fell sharply Wednesday after a report that Japan's leading carmaker will cut its earning forecast by 40 per cent owing to shrinking demand triggered by the global financial crisis.

Citing informed sources, the Japanese business daily Nikkei reported that Toyota has to adjust its profit forecast downwards by 40 per cent for the current business year, ending March 31.

Following this approval, Strides will be able to export drugs with regulatory approval to the United States.

Recently, the company has secured two abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) approvals for Dexamethasone injection in the strength of 4mg/ml and Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate injection, in the strength of 10 mg /ml.
