BSNL Unveils ‘TV On Mobile’ Service

bsnl_phoneBharat Sanchar Nigam Litmited (BSNL), Andhra Pradesh circle, has made announcement of its ‘TV on Mobile’ service for its users in association with 12 channels as the content providers.

This is one of BSNL’s significant steps in the direction of mobile entertainment.

The BSNL’s subscription plans comprise a one channel per day plan for Rs 10, one channel for one month plan for Rs 50 and 12 channels for Rs 150 per month.

S Ramalingam, chief general manager, BSNL - AP circle said that city-based Apalya Technologies would power the new value-added services being provided by BSNL by circulating the channel programmes via its streaming server to the company’s cell phone users.

But, only high-end GSM (global system for mobile communication) phones can back up the service, Mr. Ramalingam added.
