Bruce Springsteen denies cheating on wife
Washington, April 10 : Bruce Springsteen has denied cheating on his wife Patti Scialfa with a woman whose marriage is now headed for divorce.
In divorce papers filed at Monmouth County, N. J. on March 27, Arthur J. Kelly has accused his wife of 17 years, Ann. C. Kelly, of ‘committing adultery with Springsteen, who resides in Rumson, N. J. and Colts Neck, N. J. at various times and places too numerous to mention.’
However, a rep for Springsteen said that the singer, 59, stands by a statement he released in August 2006 – when reports surfaced that he was involved in another alleged affair – which says his commitment to Scialfa "remains as strong as the day we were married," reports People.
"I hesitate to use this Web site for anything personal believing it should remain a place where fans of my music can come free of the distractions that occasionally arise with the rest of my job," Springsteen wrote on his Web site at the time.
"However, due to the unfounded and ugly rumours that have appeared in the papers over the last few days, I felt they shouldn''t pass without comment. Patti and I have been together for 18 years – the best 18 years of my life. We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married," he added. (ANI)
