Bollywood Pins Hope On Biggies In '09
With the success of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' and 'Ghajini', Bollywood is entering the new year on an optimistic note expecting that big budget movies would register heavy earnings at the box office.
Bollywood is hopeful this year on many high-budget movies, featuring dependable stars, as the liquidity crunch hit the industry in 2008.
Trade sources said that the liquidity crunch shall have its effect this year also as such the industry requires big budget films with big stars to succeed at the box office.
Films of the big stars like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan have are set for release during 2009.
Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan are hopeful of giving a tough competition to the peers.
Abhishek, whose gay act in 'Dostana' earned him good reviews, and hopeful of to display his acting competence in Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra's 'Delhi 6', while Hrithik Roshan can surprise with his production 'Kites'.
