The one of the most famous stores in America, Bloomingdale, today opened its store in Dubai, which comes as its first ever branch outside the US.

A JV by the US luxury store and Al Tayer Group will lead to opening of two outlets in The Dubai Mall, which comes as good news for the UAE shoppers.

While the main store's full 146,000sq ft, spread over three stories, will have products related to fashion and accessories, the second store is a home store, spread in 54,000 sq ft.

With brands such as YSL, Jimmy Choo and many more in store, it's a fashionista's dream - even by Dubai's high standards. However, it's much more than that too.

There is no doubt that the American culture has been left with an indelible mark by Bloomie's.

And as per Kelly Lundberg of Divine, a personal shopping and style service in the UAE that it will repeat the story once again in Dubai.

Apart from being the popular choice in sitcoms, the store has also been recently featured in couple of Hollywood movies.

In 'Bride Wars'; Bloomie's starred alongside Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson. Also, Meg Ryan shared centre stage with the store in 'You've Got Mail'.
