Rome  - Joseph Blatter wants a fourth term as president of football's ruling body FIFA.

"I have not yet achieved my mission in football, I need more time," Blatter told Tuesday's La Gazzetta dello Sport Italian newspaper.

"Football is my life," added the 73-year-old Swiss national, who has been at the helm of FIFA since 1998.

Blatter's current term runs until 2011 when the FIFA Congress will decide whether to hand him another term. (dpa)
