Bhullar rises to 11th spot in Indonesia

Gaganjeet BhullarThe young Indian golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar has risen to tied 11th spot after carding an impressive four-under 68 in the second round of the Indonesia President Invitational tournament, Jakarta with prize money of $400,000 on Friday.

This was a dream run for Bhullar in the tournament as he played bogey free round with four birdies, although he missed a couple of chip-ins and an eagle chance in the second round.

Bhullar jumped from tied 15th to 11th spot as his score stood at seven under 137 at the halfway stage of the tournament, as 15 players were unable to complete their game due to bad weather.

Anther Indian, Anirban Lahiri came out with most impressive performance as he carded an outstanding five under 67 to jump to 15th spot from the tied 47th position of yesterday.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Ghei (146), Manav Jaini (146), Digvijay Singh (150) and C Muniyappa (145) failed to make cut in the Asian Tour event.
