BHEL Records All Time High Growth During Last Fiscal
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced that the company has registered a record high growth of 40% over the last year.
Out of the total order booking of Rs 59,031 crore by the Public sector major during the last fiscal, its Industry business section contributed an order inflow of Rs 14,366 crore.
The report said that the company's continued focus on client satisfaction has paid rich dividends in bagging repeat orders.
In the last financial year, major orders comprised the highest value captive power facility order worth Rs 3,348 crore from IOCL for its Cogeneration Power Plant at Orissa, major repeat orders from Hindalco for 6x150 MW BTG package for its Orissa project and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) for a 20 MW Cogeneration plant at its Chennai Refinery.
In the transportation sector, BHEL pocketed the single largest order of Rs 990 Crore for 150 numbers 5000 HP 25 kV AC mainline electric locomotives (type WAG -7) from Indian Railways.
Won despite hard international rivalry, other major orders comprised those from JSPL, Sterlite, Monnet and Ispat Energy Ltd., Jai Prakash Associates, Action Ispat and Power Ltd., Shri Shyam Ispat (India) Pvt. Ltd, Indian Railways, UPRVUNL, PowerGrid, MRPL, HPCL, BCPL, MSETCL, APGenco and NTPC. (With Inputs from Agencies)
