Bharti group to sell Centum Learning to Everonn EducationThe Bharti group has confirmed its decision to exit the education business by selling its training solution firm Centum Learning to Everonn Education.

Billionaire Sunil Bharti Mittal said the company would sell the training solution firm to Everonn in return for a combination of cash and equity shares in Everonn. However, he didn't disclose the vale of the transaction.

Centum Learning works with more than 350 global companies for their training requirements. Its business segments include skill development, employment generation, professional education and training. Following the acquisition, these segments will seamlessly integrate with the corresponding segments of Everonn Education.

Everonn, which offers end-to-end training programs and skill development solutions, said the deal would allow it to expand its reach in the India training space.

Rakesh Sharma, director of Everonn and chief executive of GEMS Education India, said, "With this acquisition, Everonn will expand its reach in the Indian training space by adding corporate training, the flagship product of Centum, as a new vertical."

In addition, the deal will provide Everonn with a gateway to the African continent as Centum is present in more than seventeen African countries.
