BEML net dips by 17%
State-run BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Ltd) has declared its year-end quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10 and has reported a decline in net profit figure in this year.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs.223 crore for the year that ended on 31st March, 2010. The company has said that there has been a decline of 17% in this year under review, against the preceding year.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs.157 crore for the quarter that ended on 31st March, 2010.
The net profit was reported to be Rs.172 crore for the same quarter in the financial year 2008-09. This net profit figure has grown up by 8.6% in this quarter as compared to the same quarter in the last fiscal year.
As far as the net sales of the firm are concerned, it has increased to Rs.2, 838 crore during the fiscal year 2009-10. It was Rs.2, 797 crore for previous year. There has been a marginal growth of 1.5% in the annual sales of the company.
