Beckham hints at staying on at A C Milan

Beckham hints at staying on at A C MilanLondon, Feb. 4 : England winger David Beckham has hinted that he would like to join the Italian football club A C Milan after his loan deal from LA Galaxy ends.

The Sun quoted club officials as saying that the midfielder has been in sensational form during his short spell with the Italian giants and has already scored twice.

He also set up the first two goals in Milan's 3-0 win at Lazio on Sunday to leave fans and the Italian media drooling over his performances.

Club vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed that Beckham has hinted he intends to remain in Italy for the long-term.

When asked if the 33-year-old wants to stay with the Serie A title-chasers, Galliani said: "I think he does, but I can only speak of what the club wants to do and Milan will do everything possible to have Beckham after March.

"It's evident that our will is there to keep him until the end of the season or even on a permanent transfer. There is hope, but contracts have to be honoured. If Galaxy wants to start negotiations we will be happy to try," he added. (ANI)
