Vienna - It might have been considered a delicacy in some parts of the world, but a Vienna woman lost her appetite when she discovered a dead frog in frozen spinach she was cooking, Austrian daily Oesterreich reported Tuesday.

"Any green vegetable sickens me now," the 32-year-old woman told the newspaper after having found the brown amphibian in what was supposed to be her dinner.

The supermarket where the woman bought the spinach promised her it would investigate the incident and proposed to give her three packs of coffee as compensation - an offer the woman called "ridiculous." (dpa)
