The Indian unit of German premium carmaker, Audi has announced its plans to launch its new R8 V10 Plus model in the growing Indian luxury car market.

It is believed that the company might be planning a mega event to launch the model in the country ion 4 April, 2013.  Some suggest that the company is looking to launch the model at the Buddh International Circuit near Delhi with a glittering event to generate much interest in the country.  The new R8 V10 Plus model is a more performance oriented version of the normal R8 and it has fan following across the country among auto enthusiasts and others.

The new version will be powered by the same 5.2 litre V10 engine, which is manufactured by Lamborghini.  The engine is assimilated within the R8 Spyder and R8 V10 Coupe and it will churn out a maximum power of 550 bhp compared to regular 525 bhp in the earlier model.  The new mdoelw ill also provide a top torque of 540 Nm.  It has 7-speed S-Tronic transmission system and Quattro technology, which speeds up all the four wheels of R8 V10 Plus.  The company claims that the model will be able to attain a speed of 100 kmph within just 3.5 seconds.

The R8 V10 Plus is the fastest production car designed by Audi.
