Ashwani Gujral: Trading Call Performance for BPCL, SBI, Tata Steel, Bharti Infratel and UPL

Ashwani Gujral suggested only BUY Calls for today’s trading session. Indian markets opened strong as per expectations today and NSE Nifty managed to cross 10,300 levels during the early trade. Markets have seen selling pressure at higher levels but we are still in trading range.

Gujral suggested BUY call for PSU banking major SBI with a stop loss of Rs 185, target at Rs 200. SBI opened at Rs 197, almost close to our target price and the stock has been on decline during the trading session, touching intraday low of Rs 187.60. This call couldn’t be executed as the stock opened with a bigger gap. Otherwise, this call was correct.

Other stock on Gujral’s radar for the trading session was Tata Steel. Gujral suggested BUY call for Tata Steel with a stop loss of Rs 334, target at Rs 352. Tata Steel opened at Rs 347.7 and touched intraday high of Rs 350.80. The stock touched intraday low of Rs 334.30. This stock also opened almost near our target price. Majority of traders wouldn’t have managed to buy the stock due to gap-up opening today.

For UPL, Gujral suggested BUY call with a stop loss of Rs 434, target at Rs 452. UPL opened at Rs 449, just close to our target price of Rs 452. This call couldn’t be executed by majority of traders. The stock touched intraday low of Rs 437.60. The call was correct as the stock opened near the target price.

Gujral suggested Buy call for BPCL with a stop loss of Rs 365, target at Rs 382. BPCL opened at Rs 379.60, close to our target price. This call was correct as well as BPCL touched intraday high of Rs 398.50, much higher than our target price. However, like other calls, traders couldn’t enter the stock.

Gujral suggested BUY Call for Bharti Infratel with a stop loss of Rs 232, target at Rs 248. Bharti Infratel opened at Rs 238 and touched intraday high of Rs 241. The stock hit Stop Loss and touched intraday low of Rs 228.55. This call has FAILED. Overall, the calls given by Gujral for today were good calls but due to gap-up opening, these calls couldn’t be executed.
