The Ascott Limited (Ascott), which is a Singapore-based luxury serviced residence company, has opened its new 229-unit serviced apartments in the capital city of Qatar, Doha.

The Ascott Doha has been opened to cater to the strong demand for serviced apartments in the city. The company said that the apartments are well to attract expatriates as well as travelers that arrive in the Middle Eastern country.

Vincent Wee, Ascott's managing director for India and GCC said, "We see strong demand for serviced residences in Qatar. Our first serviced residence in Qatar, Somerset West Bay Doha, has been achieving occupancy of over 80%. Ascott Doha heralds a new benchmark for luxury serviced residences and it is well-positioned to attract the growing number of expatriates and travelers arriving in the city."

Wee said that that company is a brand for Singapore that has now gained international recognition and the company is looking to welcome and service its guests at Ascott Doha. He also said that the company is planning to further expand its presence in the GCC region.

Ascott is a part of one of Asia's largest real estate companies, CapitaLand and it owns a network of 1000 serviced apartments across six properties in four countries in the GCC.
