Arshad to take on serious road
Arshad Warsi had arrived in the Indian film industry many years back to be leading actor. But after working in couple of movies, Warsi shifted his focus on comic roles, which fetched great popularity for him. Who can ever forget him playing circuit in on of the most admired movies of bollywood, MunnaBhai MBBS. Recently, his film Ishqiya, staring him, Naseerudin Shah and Vidiya Balan too was great at the box office.
His most recent will be Hum Tum aur Ghost opposite Diya Mirza; which will also be his first ever production. But now the 41-year-old actor is mulling to take on serious roles and will work on a stark thriller evolving into the issue of corruption. The movie will be the debut of filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar who has been assisting Mani Rathnam for the past many years.
Arshad said, "This is a serious, issue based film and I can't explain how much I am looking forward to begin work on it."
Warsi said that he decided to do the film as soon he heard the synopsis.
Bejoy specified that the film is story of a cop, who gets involved in a case when a few drunk rich kids run over pedestrians. The shocking incident develops into something bigger in another few days.
As of now, the rest of the cast of the movie is yet to be decided; however speculations say that Dev D star Kalki Koechlin will be a part of the project.
