Apple soon to release a store in Shanghai
Apple has recently proclaimed of opening a new retail outlet in Shanghai, New York Times reports.
It is further stated that this shop is one of the first of 25 retail outlets Apple aims to open on the land of China over the next two years. Facts state that it will be the second store opened in the country by Apple.
Ron Johnson, senior vice president of retail operations at Apple claimed that the opening of the store is sort of a launching pad for Apple.
The store has come up in IFC Mall in the Pudong financial district of Shanghai, and is aimed to recruit 175 workers.
Apple said that it will provide free T-shirts for the first 5,000 visitors.
Apple is relatively small player in computers and mobile devices in China.
Market analysts estimate that this move will strengthen its position in reigning world's largest market in computer goods.
