Apollo opens new hospital in Orissa
The Apollo Group of Hospitals launched its state-of-art hospital in Bhubaneswar. This takes the total count of hospitals of Apollo Group in India to 49. Naveen Patnaik, the Orissa Chief Minister graced the inauguration ceremony of the hospital in Bhubaneswar. Apollo has invested Rs. 120 crore on this facility and this hospital has 50 specialties and super specialties.
It offers ultra modern intensive care units Over 100 medical professionals will provide their services at this hospital along with the additional support from over 10,000 experts working for the Apollo group across India.
The group is going to open three new hospitals in the country in the next our weeks time.
Prathap Reddy, the chairman of Apollo Group of Hospitals said in a press statement, "We are going to open two speciality hospitals in Hyderabad and Secunderabad and a cancer hospital in Kolkata within the next four weeks."
As per the company plans, 16 new hospitals will be completed by December 2011 and will add roughly around 2000 beds. The Apollo Group of Hospitals is the largest player in the healthcare service space in Asia and has bed strength of 8000.
