If the buzz in the television market is to be believed then Anu Malik, who has judged the Indian Idols till now, is going to leave the show.

He is said to have told the Sony channel authorities to look for his replacement. He is angry on the fact that for the promos of Indian Idol 5, singer Sunidhi Chauhan has been given more prominence. She is also getting more money.

This development is happening just a few days before the Indian Idol is about to start its new season.

Anu has been in the program ever since the beginning and complains that Sunidhi has just joined the show for this season. Why then, he says, is she getting so much of importance.

A person from the channel said that Sunidhi is being promoted more since she is able to get more eyeballs than Anu Malik.

As for the payments, Sunidhi is given Rs. 7.5 lakh for every episode while Anu gets Rs. 5 lakh for each episode.

The matter has reached a situation where Anu is not ready to listen to the producers at all.
