Amy Winehouse’s problem with Grollaz

Amy Winehouse has reportedly angered her record label bosses by delaying the recording of her solo album to collaborate with Gorillaz. Executives at music firm Universal paid for the singer to fly to St. Lucia last month (Mar09) to record the follow-up to her hit 2006 record Back To Black. But instead of heading to the studio to work on her own songs, she has agreed to work with rocker Damon Albarn's band.

A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "They were not happy to say the least. They want Amy to get cracking on her new album, but the results have so far not been up to scratch. "Imagine how they felt when they realised she had agreed to work with Gorillaz? They couldn't believe it.

"It's an unnecessary distraction. They think she should invest all her energy in her own music. She should be knuckling down and delivering the goods." - Sampurn Media
