Ambuja Cements declares consolidated results for FY 2007
India's third-largest cement maker Ambuja Cements has announced its consolidated results. The company has posted net profit of Rs 1,846.11 crore for the year ended December 31, 2007, as compared to Rs 1,435.18 crore in the last fiscal year.
The total income of the company for the latest financial year rose to Rs 6,064.85 from Rs 5,143.12 crore in the year ago period.
In the further announcement, the company’s board of directors has suggested a final dividend of 50 per cent for each share of Re 1 face value.
With an interim dividend of 125 per cent paid earlier in the year, the total dividend for 2007 would be 175 per cent of Rs 3.50 per share.
The standalone result of the company has showed net profit of Rs 1,769.10 crore for the year 2007, from Rs 1,340.07 crore in the previous fiscal.
The total income rose to Rs 5,898.37 crore in 2007 compared to Rs 4,948.46 crore for the past year.
On standalone basis, the company has posted net sales of Rs 57,048 million for year ending December 31, 2007.
