Doing his bit to contribute towards the flood relief in Pakistan –singing sensation Ali Zafar is soon to auction his art- proceeds of which would go towards rehabilitation of craftsmen affected by the recent floods in Pakistan

On the 20th September, 2010 The College of Art and Design is organizing a graphic painting exhibition at the Alhamra Art Galleries in Lahore that will feature over a hundred renowned artists – joining this lot would be Ali Zafar and his son. The exhibition that will help reconstruct homes and provide medical care to the victims will also travel to Karachi, Faisalabad and Islamabad.

Very few know that the actor who made his Bollywood debut with Tere Bin Laden started painting right from his college days. Talking about his first passion says Zafar “Once I got busy with music, I stopped painting. I picked up the brush after seven years when my father asked me to be apart of this exhibition”

Philanthropy has always been priority for the singer/actor as he soon plans to organize a fund raising concert in hope of roping in Bollywood and International artists.
