Akram urges Younis Khan to focus on match winners

Akram urges Younis Khan to focus on match winnersKarachi, Mar. 1 : Former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram has asked incumbent Younis Khan to utilise his match winners and force a result in the second Test match.

"Younis must look at his match winners and rely on them for the success of his team .He (Younis) has done wonders in the Karachi Test against Sri Lanka, and now, he should look at his match winners for securing a series win over Sri Lanka in Lahore," The Nation quoted Akram, as saying.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a Mobilink Invitation Golf Tournament here, Akram said that the Pakistan team's morale is high after their splendid batting performance in the first Test.

He claimed that Pakistan has a psychological advantage over the Lankans and should win the match.

"It was a great achievement by Pakistan to score 765 against the Sri Lankan total of 644. It means we have got the potential to defeat the visiting team," Akram said.

Akram also criticized the `dead' Karachi pitch where over 1500 runs were scored.

"We need supporting tracks, equally good for batting and bowling, where everyone should come under test. That is real cricket," he said. (ANI)
