At its meeting held Aug. 14, 2007, the board directors of Akar Tools have sanctioned a dividend of 15% or Rs 1.50 a share of Rs 10 each for the fiscal 2006-07.

Akar Tools declared a fantastic jump in its quarterly net profit for June 2007. The company’s income boosted 2.18 times, to Rs 9.09 million, from Rs 4.17 million in the same period of the last year.

For the quarter ended June 2007, net sales ascended 76.86% to Rs 178.29 million, as against the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Shares of the company ended up Rs 1.30 at Rs 326.55. The scrip traded with the total volume 10,590 shares on Tuesday.
