After Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan in Jail

Salman KhanJaipur: Carrying on the lower court’s decision in the chinkara hunting case, the Jodhpur District and Sessions Court confirmed the five-year detention granted to bollywood star Salman Khan in the nine-year-old black buck hunting case.

The court rejected Salman’s plea against his judgment of conviction in the case, awarded to him by a lower court in 2006. Another accused, Govardhan Singh, was, however, discharged.

The district and sessions judge, Mr. Kamal Raj Singhvi has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Salman, who was not present in court when the decision was announced

Mr. Dipesh Mehta, Salman’s attorney said, “Salman will file a review petition in the High Court.”

Mr. Mehta requested 10 days’ time for Salman to surrender but the court disapproved the request. It is discovered that the police superintendent, Jodhpur, has been directed to detain the actor.

Mumbai police alleged that Salman would have to surrender in the Jodhpur court, or the nearest one in Mumbai, a condition for a revision petition in Rajasthan High Court.
