Advani vows to stamp out terrorism

Advani vows to stamp out terrorismPurnia (Bihar), April 24: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani on Friday said if voted to power, his party would stamp out terrorism.

“If voted to power, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government would not compromise on national interest. Terrorism is the biggest challenge faced by our country. We will stamp out terror from our soil,” Advani said at an election rally here.

Advani accused the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government of being soft on terror.

“The Congress-led UPA government headed by Manmohan Singh has failed to protect the country from terrorism and contain spiralling prices of essential commodities,” he added.

The BJP leader also reminded people about former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s contribution in Bihar’s development.

“The absence of Vajpayee from campaigning during the Lok Sabha polls this time is being felt. Vajpayee is unchallengeable,” Advani said.

The BJP leader also blamed the erstwhile Lalu Prasad-Rabri Devi governments for Bihar''s “backwardness” and said the Nitish Kumar-led NDA regime had done remarkably well in a short time. (ANI)
