Abu Dhabi: Lara’s Lucky Mascot!
Abu Dhabi seems to be the newest hotshot places for Bollywood film
producers as the majority of the bigwigs in recent times have started
filming at its striking locales.
But a bond, which has got
stronger is of the ace Bollywood beauty Lara Dutta, who had not only
shot for her hit comedy film ‘Partner’ in 2007, but is also currently
shooting for her forthcoming David Dhawan movie “Do Knot Disturb.”
On
this, Lara said, “This place is like a lucky mascot as my last release
also had many portions shot here and it turned out to be a super-hit.
We have been shooting at the Emirates Palace hotel and you just got to
see the hotel to believe how wonderful it is.”
Moreover, the Indian hottie is also touched by the picturesque locales and kindness of the public there.
She
also said, “It’s a wonderful place, the people are very warm and it's
quite a film-friendly place as well. I guess with the amount of films
being shot here, Abu Dhabi has become the new Switzerland.”
Presently,
Lara is one of the busiest actresses in Bollywood. In addition to King
Khan’s home production ‘Billo Barber’, she also has ‘Banda Yeh Bindaas
Hai’ once again with multi-talented actor Govinda.
After that,
there is her Rs 100 crore budgeted Blue, which is a complete action
movie starring Akki and Sanju Baba and finally Sudhir Mishra’s Aur
Devdas in which she plays ‘Paro.’
Moreover, Lara, who has been a
part of films such as No Entry, Zinda, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and many
others, has recently been lending her voice to the animation film
‘Jumbo.’
“Yes it is true that I have dubbed for Jumbo,” she
said, “Akshay Kumar asked me to see the film and then decide if I
wanted to do it. I saw it and thought that it was a very sweet film.
So, I dubbed for it. Jumbo is my gift to my junior audience. It is my
first animation film and so I did not want to charge for it.”
