Abhishek Industries, the flagship company of Trident Group, has informed that the company has opened Trident Homescapes, a lifestyle store in Ludhiana, Punjab

This is the second retail store launched by the Company, which is spread across 2500 sq. ft of shopping area. The Company had made its maiden foray in lifestyle retail in India by launching its first lifestyle store under the brand name "Trident Homescapes" at Chandigarh on April 20, 2008.

The Punjab-based company would showcase bed sheets, terry towels, quilts, table lenin, cutlery items, steelware etc in the showrooms. It initially plans to open 30 company-owned stores across the country by March 2008 and has acquired showroom space at many locations already.

The company was also in the process of adding capacities by putting up new manufacturing facility at an investment of Rs 963 crore at Budhni near Bhopal in Madhya Perdesh for making bed linen and rugs zeroed in on ten locations in North India for rolling out its outlets and six of them will be set up in Punjab.

Shares of the company were last trading marginally up at Rs 19.20, or 0.26%. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 20443 (12:43 a.m., Monday)
