5510 may act as strong resistance level for Nifty
Supportive global cues and good buying over BANKING, OIL-GAS and REALITY stocks hold Indian indices in positive territory throughout the day. SENSEX shut shop at 18167, up 93 points and Nifty at 5452, up 35 points from the previous close. CNX MIDCAP index was up 1.2% and BSE SMALLCAP index was up 0.7%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 715 against declines of 569 on the NSE. Top gainers included SBIN, DLF, ITC, MARUTI, TATASTEEL, HCLTECH, KOTAKBANK and CAIRN. Top losers are listed as STER, RCOM, SUZLON, TATAMOTORS, RELINFRA, M&M and WIPRO.
In the next session NIFTY is expected to trade in the range 5420-5490. Also, 5510 may act as strong resistance level. Traders are suggested to be cautious at 5510 resistance level. PSU BANKS and AUTO SECTOR may attract more buying while PHARMA-SECTOR may face selling.
